Michelle Malone is a fierce, genre-blending singer songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia whose music spans roots rock, Americana, blues, and folk. With a career built on independence and artistic conviction, Malone is known for her emotionally direct writing, powerful vocals, and songs that balance grit with vulnerability. She’s also known for her decades- long tours as a satellite Indigo Girl. Her work often explores strength, survival, and self-determination—delivered with melodic confidence and an unmistakable point of view. Equally comfortable with raw acoustic moments or full-band intensity, Malone’s songs carry both weight and momentum. On stage, Michelle Malone brings a commanding yet grounded presence, drawing listeners in with honesty and lived experience. Her music reflects a lifelong commitment to craft and truth—songs shaped by resilience, intention, and a refusal to soften the edges.

The Symposium's goal and premise is to highlight and curate a space for portland artist's to showcase their work. Specifically in a low pressure environment and to facilitate community engagement and collaboration.
